i threw the daughter a mini halloween/early birthday party last weekend. sure, i was overcompensating for my lack of a social life by going berserk with DIY deco and goodie bags and balloons and custom cupcakes, but how often does your child turn one? however, my feeble attempts at entertaining and enlightening her with the wits and whimsy of a pretty party fell flat... literally. she was found asleep within the first hour into the shrieks and fun of the other babies having their way with her toys.
she also choked on some beads from her fairy dress, but let's not chalk that up to bad parenting ey? stupid dress should've come with a disclaimer e.g. keep away from babies with the passion for biting the shit out of everything.
all in all, puke and all, it was a great party. i think. i hope?
